The City of Cerritos offers a fantastic array of recreational and cultural programs for the community.
The Recreation Services Division provides recreational and educational activities and programs for all ages. Services include enrichment and cultural programming; excursions; sports and fitness programs; sports leagues; golf; aquatics; and preschool, youth, teen and adult classes.
The City offers extensive and beautifully maintained recreation facilities, including Community Centers, neighborhood parks, the Cerritos Olympic Swim and Fitness Center, Cerritos Sports Complex, Cerritos Skate Park at the Cerritos Sports Complex, Community Gymnasiums at Whitney and Cerritos High Schools, and Cerritos Iron-Wood Nine Golf Course.
The Cerritos Library serves the informational, educational, professional, recreational and general interest needs of the community. The award-winning Cerritos Library is the world's first "Experience Library," incorporating themed spaces to stimulate patrons' imagination. Cerritos Library offers an extensive collection, museum-quality exhibitions, cultural and educational programs, and an exciting collection of artwork.
The Cerritos Senior Center at Pat Nixon Park is a warm and welcoming place for seniors age 50 and older to socialize, participate in educational programs, receive human services and enjoy recreational activities.
The City owned and operated Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (CCPA) is the Southland's premier performing arts and conference facility, featuring performers such as Chris Botti, Dave Koz, Johnny Mathis, LeAnn Rimes and Joss Stone.
