First Ladies Collection
The Cerritos Library is dedicated to the First Ladies of the United States of America. The First Ladies theme was chosen as former First Lady Patricia Nixon’s girlhood home was located in the community. The library’s First Ladies Collection consists of a permanent display of portraits of all the nation’s First Ladies. A special collection of books on the lives and contributions of these important American women is housed in the Local History Room. The collections also contains personal items donated to the library by various First Ladies, as well as other special items and ephemera, which are sometimes placed on public display.
