"Where Nature Speaks" by Kanae Kwan

Entrance/Main Street

This nature-themed exhibition of acrylic paintings reflects the sense of calm Kwan experiences in nature, breathing slowly, letting go of everyday thoughts and feeling her spirit lift. Kwan is honored to share this exhibit during Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. She grew up in the countryside of Japan, surrounded by mountains, rice fields and clear rivers, where she developed a deep connection to nature and a strong sense of pride in Japanese culture and spirit, which continue to inspire her work. “Where Nature Speaks” will be exhibited in the main lobby of the library through June 29, 2026.
